ShipReal (shipreal.dev) does not store or sell your personal information. We have no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no databases of student data. The course itself is hosted by third-party learning platforms, our "schools" (YouTube, Udemy, and Teachable), and they keep information about you, including your name. Through their dashboards we can see some of it too; we just never store it ourselves. Checkout runs through a payment provider, which keeps its own billing records. What you share with any of them is your choice.
Nothing personal. shipreal.dev is a static website. Inside the schools' instructor dashboards we do see student information, such as display names, enrollments, progress, and completion, but that data lives in the schools and we do not export or store it in systems of our own. Our payment providers show us order records (name, billing country, email, and the amount paid) so we can issue invoices and refunds, and that data stays in their systems too. If you email us directly (for example about corporate plans), we see your email like any recipient would; we don't add it to any list or share it.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website: which pages are viewed, which sections and links are clicked, and roughly where traffic comes from. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you. You can block analytics with any standard content blocker or your browser's settings, and the site works fine without it. Google's own privacy policy applies to data processed by Google Analytics.
We do not process payments ourselves and we never see or store your card details. When you enroll, checkout is handled by a payment provider, and that provider may collect and store information needed to take the payment and meet its own legal obligations: your name, email address, billing address and country, tax identifiers where required, the payment method details you enter, and the resulting invoice and transaction records. Which provider handles your purchase depends on where you are:
To decide which of these to show you, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) tells our server the country your request arrived from, which it derives from your IP address. That country is used only to pick the payment route, is not stored, and is not linked to you.
The quick course is billed by Udemy under its own subscription and payment terms, not by any of the above.
When you watch or enroll in the course, you do so on a third-party platform, and that platform, not ShipReal, collects and stores your data under its own privacy policy:
These platforms may store your student name and display it on things like certificates of completion. You choose what you share with them: most let you use any display name you like, control what appears on your profile, and request deletion of your account and data directly through their support channels.
Course platforms show instructors aggregated statistics (enrollments, completion rates, reviews) and, depending on the platform, per-student information such as display name, progress, and completion. We see that data inside their dashboards and use it only to improve the course. We never export it into systems of our own, and we never sell or share it.
Corporate and team plans include progress tracking and dashboards by design. That is disclosed to and agreed by your employer, and the details (what is tracked, who sees it, where it's stored) are defined in the corporate agreement. If your company enrolls you, ask them for that agreement; it governs your data, not this policy.
This site sets no cookies of its own except a single localStorage entry for your light/dark theme preference, which never leaves your browser. Google Analytics may set its own cookies, as described above. If you open the checkout, the payment provider's script may set cookies or local storage of its own to run the transaction and detect fraud.
Since we store no personal data about you, requests to access, correct, or delete data should be directed to whoever holds it: the school where you study (YouTube/Google, Udemy, or Teachable), or the payment provider that billed you (Paddle, or Morning/Grow). Billing records are usually kept for a period set by tax law, which limits what any provider can delete on request. If you believe we hold anything about you, for example an email thread, write to us and we'll delete it.
